Hot on the heels of the iOS 27 Developer Beta 3 update, Apple has now seeded the iOS 27.2 Public Beta 2 update for all eligible iPhones. Unlike the Beta 1 release, the latest build focuses more on delivering system-wide fixes rather than introducing any new features.
iOS 27.2 Public Beta 2: What's New
The second iOS 27.2 Public Beta update is about 14 GB in size and expands access to the redesigned Health app to more iOS 27 eligible devices. We saw the same with the iOS 27.2 Public Beta 1 update, and with the second beta, Apple focused on under-the-hood changes rather than adding new features.
Moreover, the release carries the same Face ID improvement for the iPhone 18 Pro and the iPhone 18 Pro Max, initially seeded with the iOS 27.2 Developer Beta 3 update. The new update also fixes the persistent GPS issues and has added a new splash screen for iPhone boot-up.
Aside from that, the new build carries forward several of the iOS 27.2 Public Beta 1 features, including multi-language support in Siri AI, dual capture for group FaceTime calls, Apple TV profiles and the ability to schedule and purchase labs through Quest Diagnostics inside the Health app for $119 (approximately Rs 11,500).
That said, eligible iPhone users can download and install the iOS 27.2 Public Beta 2 update by heading to Settings -> General -> Software Update.
The update is available to those on at least the iPhone 11 and extends up to the latest iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and the iPhone Duo.
