Summary

  • HMD is working on five new devices – Crest 2, Bold, Arc 2, Pulse 2 and Pulse 2+.
  • The Crest 2 and Bold could feature Unisoc T8300 and T7250 octa-core chipsets made on 6nm node.
  • The Pulse 2 and 2+ could sport T7200 whereas the Arc 2 could come with SC9863A.

Although HMD exited the US market recently, the brand doesn't plan on slowing down globally. A new leak suggests that the brand is working on as many as five new smartphones. The leaked details suggest they could be mid-range offerings and won't be performance powerhouses.

According to @smasjx_60 on X, HMD could launch five new smartphones out of which two codenames – ACCORD and MAHUZE have leaked. The former could be HMD Crest 2 while the latter is speculated to be the HMD Bold. The Crest 2 could come in 4 GB, 6 GB and 8 GB, whereas the Bold could arrive in 4 GB and 6 GB RAM sizes.

The leak suggests Crest 2 could be powered by Unisoc T8300 processor. It's an octa-core processor with 2 x Cortex-A78 and 6 x Cortex-A55 cores. The T8300 offers notable improvements from T8200, a chipset that's currently used in AI+'s Nova 5G. It's manufactured on 6nm node and supports LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage.

The Geekbench listing of the Crest 2 was also spotted, revealing a single-core score of 741 and a multi-core score of 2258. The phone is running Android 15 with 4 GB of RAM. Strangely, although Unisoc confirms the core architecture of T8300 is 2+6, the Geekbench listing shows 4+4 at 2.2 GHz and 2.0 GHz. The frequencies do match, though.

Coming to the HMD Bold, it's expected to arrive with Unisoc T7250 SoC, a 12nm chipset which is a tier below the T8300. With 2 x Cortex-A75 cores clocked at 1.8 GHz and 6 x Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.6 GHz, it supports UFS 2.2 and LPDDR4X RAM. The Geekbench listing for the same isn't available, yet.

It appears HMD is also working on Pulse 2, Pulse 2+ and ARC 2 with Unisoc T7200 and SC9863A chipsets, the leaker suggested in another one of his X posts. The latter is based on 28nm process, which is ancient for 2025 standards.

Specifications-wise, the Pulse 2 and 2+ could get 6.67-inch 90 Hz IPS LCD panels, and while the Pulse 2 could get a 50 MP primary snapper, whereas the same on Pulse 2+ could be a 13 MP unit. The Pulse 2 could get only 4 GB RAM, but the Pulse 2+ could come in 4 GB and 6 GB variants. Both the phones are expected to run Android 15 out of the box.

There's no official information about these devices yet, but we expect the brand to reveal details in the coming days.
