Honor has officially launched its new uber-premium flagship smartphone, the Honor Magic 8 RSR Porsche Design, in China. This is the fourth-gen product born out of the brand's partnership with Porsche Design, powered by the latest Snapdragon processor, a big battery and capable cameras.
Honor Magic 8 RSR Porsche Design Specifications and Features
Starting with the display, the Honor Magic 8 RSR Porsche Design features a 6.71-inch 1.5K quad-curved LTPO OLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 4320 Hz PWM dimming. The panel is Giant Rhino Glass protected and also houses an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
Design-wise, it looks similar to the previous-gen "Magic RSR" series Honor phones with the aerodynamic dome design and the squircle camera deco. However, the design inspiration this time is the iconic Porsche 911 Carrera.

Powering the phone is Qualcomm's newest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor paired with up to a whopping 24 GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage. It runs on the new MagicOS 10 update based on Android 16.
Fueling it all is a massive 7,200mAh battery, paired with 120W fast USB-C charging and 80W wireless charging support.

Speaking of the cameras, the Honor Magic 8 RSR Porsche Design is using the brand's AiMAGE Colour Engine for its triple camera setup. It features a 50 MP main 1/3" sensor, a 200 MP 3.7x periscope telephoto camera and a 50 MP 122° ultra-wide angle camera. At the front, it gets a 50 MP selfie shooter with 4K @ 60 FPS video recording support.
Moreover, this is the first Honor phone which gets a proper Teleconverter Kit support. The phone comes with a dedicated photography kit comprising a 200mm Nox telephoto lens, a 67mm filter adapter ring, a camera shutter cum powerbank module and a lanyard. This makes it one of the very few brands, after Oppo, Vivo and Xiaomi, to offer a teleconverter kit.
Aside from that, the Honor Magic 8 RSR Porsche Design sports an IP68 + IP69 + IP69K rating, an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, satellite connectivity, dual-band 5G support and a USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 port.

Pricing-wise, the Honor Magic 8 RSR Porsche Design is priced at 7,999 Chinese yuan (approximately Rs 1,05,000) for the 16 GB + 512 GB model. There is also a 24 GB + 1 TB option and it costs 8,999 Chinese yuan (approximately Rs 1,18,000).
