The Honor Magic 9 series launch date in China is already confirmed for September 28, 2026, and ahead of it, the brand now offers an early look at the design language and cameras of the upcoming phones.
Honor Magic 9 Series Key Camera Specs Revealed
Honor's official teaser on Weibo reveals that the Magic9 series will feature a dual-200 MP camera setup consisting of a main 1/1.28-inch sensor with an f/1.54 aperture and a telephoto 1/1.4-inch sensor with an f/2.6 aperture.
The camera housing on the rear panel adopts a rectangular visor finished with ARRI branding. The layout houses a huge primary cutout on the left consisting of the telephoto lens, flash, and logo, while two auxiliary camera cutouts are stacked adjacently.
The rear camera enclosure is also built to accommodate the existing 200mm teleconverter lens. Beyond that, Honor is also launching a new 500mm teleconverter lens for further zooming capabilities.
Besides cameras, the post showcases the Magic 9 series in Moss Green finish, alongside the front pill-shaped cutout that hosts the front camera and a 3D Time-of-Flight sensor for facial unlocking.
Speaking of which, rumours point toward the phone being the first Android phone to feature a 1:1 square front camera for Apple's Centre Stage-like capabilities.
While Honor has kept the final device roster under wraps, rumours point to a Magic 9 and Magic 9 Pro. In tandem with the Magic9 series, Honor has also confirmed that it will unveil its Android 17-based MagicOS 11 next week.
While much of the key specifications still remain under wraps, Honor should reveal more as we inch closer to the Magic9 series' September 28, 2026 launch. Until then, stay tuned.
