Honor is all set to launch its next book-style foldable, the Magic V5 on July 2, 2025, in Shenzen, China. The launch event will start from 7:00 PM CST (or 4:30 PM IST). Packing a bigger battery and the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, the Honor Magic V5 is expected to bring some sizable spec upgrades over its predecessor.
Thanks to frequent leaks and rumours some of these key specifications of the Magic V5 are already out. For starters, it is expected to feature an 8-inch inner display and a 6.45-inch outer display.
The foldable is also expected to be slimmer than the Honor Magic V3 coming in at under 9mm thickness. If that is indeed the case, it might be the thinnest foldable phone out there beating the Oppo Find N5's 8.9mm thickness by a negligible margin.

Meanwhile, under the hood, the book-style foldable is expected to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Leading Version. This is a slightly overclocked Snapdragon 8 Elite processor that first debuted with the RedMagic 10S Pro last month in China. Further, there will be a 6,100mAh battery fueling the foldable with 66W fast charging support.
In terms of optics, the Honor Magic V5 is said to arrive with a 200 MP periscope telephoto camera. Sadly, nothing else is known about the device at this moment.
However, since the launch is right around the corner, expect to hear more details about the foldable in the coming days. And with the Vivo X Fold 5 launching in China this month, it will be interesting to see what Honor has to offer to the competition.
