2025 was the year of over 10,000mAh batteries, and it appears that the trend isn't stopping anytime soon in 2026. And it looks like Honor wants to be a pioneer in the same. Following the release of the Honor Power 2 earlier this year, new information suggests its successor is under development and could push the limits even further.
The Honor Power 3 could Feature Unmatched Endurance
According to Digital Chat Station, Honor is testing an early engineering prototype of the Honor Power 3, which is currently undergoing internal testing. The new information indicates that Honor is targeting a battery size between 11,000mAh and 12,000mAh, making it the phone with the largest battery globally.

Beyond the massive cell, the prototype is said to feature a 6.8-inch LTPS AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and 2.5D curved glass finish on the edges. Driving the performance could be Dimensity 8600, which is expected to be a 3nm chipset like the Dimensity 8500 processor. The processor is expected to launch around December 2026, after the Dimensity 9600 series launch.
Besides powering the Honor Power 3, the Dimensity 8600 is also expected to run the show on Redmi Turbo 6, Poco X9 Pro, alongside other mid-range smartphones from Oppo and Vivo.

While the exact launch date of the Honor Power 3 and other specifications are currently unknown, an early January 2027 release seems plausible. Besides the Power 3, Honor has a busy release roadmap for the remainder of this year in China.
For starters, the brand is expected to reveal its flagship Magic 9 series in October 2025, powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. It will likely be followed by the launch of another smartphone series built for endurance, the Win 2 series, closer to the end of December. More information about the Honor Power 3 should be revealed as we inch closer to launch, so stay tuned.
