Huawei is reportedly gearing up to introduce its Mate 80 series soon in China. While the brand has not officially confirmed any details yet, a new leak has given us our first real-life look at the Huawei Mate 80 Pro.
Huawei Mate 80 Pro live images reveal a new camera layout
First spotted by Android Headlines on Weibo, the Huawei Mate 80 Pro seems to have opted for an interesting camera bump design. It has a similar-looking circular camera island at the centre, as that of the Huawei Mate 70 Pro. However, it is now thicker and larger with a steel-framed polished rim.
It even houses the triple cameras in an unusual manner. The top section has what appears to be a large periscope camera module. It is followed at the bottom by likely a main camera sensor and an ultra-wide-angle lens. On the sides, there is what appears to be a dual LED dual-tone flash module and colour precision sensors.

Additionally, the leaked phone from Huawei has appeared in a bright yellow colourway with flat edges on the side and both the power and volume buttons located on the right side of the mid-frame. Overall, it is pretty similar to what we got on the Huawei Mate 70 series in 2024. Only the lens layout and the camera bump have been tweaked a little, possibly to house better cameras.
Speaking of cameras, a previous leak revealed that the Mate 80 Pro will bring a 50 MP 1/1.3-inch primary camera. It is also said to sport a 200 MP periscope lens and a 50 MP ultra-wide angle sensor.

Apart from this, expect the phone to feature a 6.9-inch 1.5K LTPO OLED display, Kirin 9030 processor, Harmony OS 5.0, a 6,000+mAh battery and more. That said, since nothing has been made official yet, take these specs with a pinch of salt. We will make sure to report on any official details once they go live for the Mate 80 Pro.
The Huawei Mate 80 Pro launch timeline was also tipped for November 2025 recently. So, we will hopefully
