Huawei is reportedly gearing to introduce its Mate 80 series smartphones soon in China. While the brand has not officially confirmed the lineup's existence, a new report has revealed the launch timeline of the smartphones along with the expected models.
Tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed via Weibo that Huawei is eyeing a November 2025 launch window for the Mate 80 series. The lineup is expected to feature the standard Mate 80 smartphone, the Mate 80 Pro, the Mate 80 Pro+ and the Mate 80 RS. All in all, we can expect the brand to reveal four new smartphones in a few months time.

Additionally, DCS has also mentioned some of the core specifications of the lineup. For starters, all four phones are said to draw their power from the Huawei-made Kirin 9030 processor and feature the brand's own HarmonyOS.
Fans can expect the smartphones to bring a 6,000+mAh battery underneath with 100W fast USB-C charging support and 80W wireless charging support. Connectivity-wise, all four phones will allegedly bring 5G connectivity and satellite communication support.

The real differences between the smartphones start to show when we look at their display and camera configurations. According to DCS, the Mate 80 Pro could feature a 2.5D curved glass display with 3D face recognition support. The Mate 80 Pro+ and the Mate 80 RS on the other hand are said to bring a "2.5D and 4D deep curvature design".
Additionally, the Mate 80 RS will allegedly feature a 6.9-inch dual-layer OLED display. This stacked emission layer structure is expected to deliver higher brightness levels, reduce power consumption and bring a longer shelf life. It is even expected to bring titanium alloy frames with a ceramic-textured glass back.

Lastly, in terms of optics, the standard Mate 80 could bring a 50 MP 1/1.5-inch main camera, while the Pro is said to be equipped with a 50 MP 1/1.3-inch primary sensor. Both the Pro+ and the RS variant of the Mate 80 smartphones will reportedly bring a 50 MP 1/1.3-inch SmartSens 590 main sensor.
That said, since nothing has been made official as of yet, take the above details with a hint of salt. We will be sure to report on any official developments once Huawei reveals details about the upcoming Mate 80 lineup.
