Huawei Pura X View Launched as a Wide-Screen Phone with 200 MP Camera and 7,000mAh Battery

Huawei's distinct-looking smartphone portfolio has a new entrant and it's the Huawei Pura X View. The smartphone brings a unique wide slab form factor with a 16:9:5 aspect ratio for enhanced media consumption and multitasking.

Huawei Pura X View Specifications and Features

Starting with the design, the Huawei Pura X View is pretty much the Huawei Pura X Max wide foldable cut in half. The back of the phone features segmented lines with a horizontal rear camera bump consisting of three cameras and an LED flash. The power and volume buttons are on the right, while the front is extremely clean.

Speaking of which, the standout feature of the Pura X View is its wider 6.39-inch OLED display with a 16:9:5 aspect ratio and a 2232x1320 resolution.

The display features 1.05 mm slim, symmetrical bezels protected by Kunlun Glass. The panel refreshes at 120 Hz, boasts a peak brightness of 6,500 nits and incorporates 2,160 Hz high-frequency PWM dimming.

Under the hood, the Pura X View boasts a Kirin 9030S processor along with a vapour chamber. For those unaware, it's a 5nm octa-core processor with a maximum core frequency of 2.75 GHz. Performance is complemented by 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1 TB of storage.

For photography, the Pura X View boasts a 200 MP RYYB f/1.8 primary snapper with OIS, alongside a Red Maple colour sensor. There's also a 50 MP periscope telephoto lens and an 8 MP ultrawide snapper. The front punch-hole hosts a 50 MP camera for selfies.

Despite coming in quite thin at 6.68 mm and 201 grams, the internals are powered by a 7,000mAh Silicon Carbon battery. The battery can charge at 66W wired and 50W wirelessly.

The phone is protected by IP68/69 water and dust resistance. Connectivity-wise, there's Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and NFC. There's also an IR blaster, while security is handled by a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The phone is tied to Huawei's latest HarmonyOS 7 release. It introduces a revamped remote Huawei Share feature that allows users to transfer large archives and media across longer distances without needing to be physically close to the other device.

Huawei Pura X View Price in China and Availability

The base 12 GB + 256 GB storage variant of the Pura X View is priced at 5,999 Chinese yuan (approximately Rs 84,000), whereas the top-of-the-line 1 TB variant is priced at 8,499 Chinese yuan (approximately Rs 1,20,000).

Available colours on offer include Zero White, Phantom Black, Shadow Red and Linen Grey.

The Huawei Pura X View is now up for pre-order on the Huawei China storefront and official open retail sales begin on September 9, 2026. Until then, stay tuned.
