After much teasing, Infinix is finally expanding its Note 60 series and has launched the Note 60 Ultra. The smartphone has been made in collaboration with the 95-year-old Italian automotive design house Pininfarina, and as a result, features a unique design.

Infinix Note 60 Ultra boasts Two-way Satellite connectivity

While the Infinix Note 60 Ultra features specifications that are quite typical of an upper mid-range smartphone, its main USP is two-way satellite voice calling across international borders. This was made possible using Direct-to-Cell technology. Speaking of which, Starlink aims to bring Direct-to-Cell in late 2027.

Thanks to the Pininfarina partnership, the smartphone's design leans into a sports car aesthetic. The chassis is built from aluminium, and the rear is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus, which also covers the camera array. The smartphone also features what Infinix calls a Floating Taillight design that acts as a notification LED.

At the front, Infinix has packed in a 6.78-inch OLED display with a peak brightness of 4,500 nits and a 144 Hz refresh rate. It's protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. Audio-wise, the smartphone boasts JBL-tuned speakers and the entire package is shielded by an IP64 rating for protection against dust and water.

Optics-wise, the phone features a 200 MP primary camera, followed by a 50 MP periscope lens and an ultrawide lens with a 112-degree FoV. Powering the smartphone is the MediaTek Dimensity 8400, with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, and a 7,000mAh battery that supports 100W charging.

The smartphone runs Android 16 features with Infinix's XOS16, and is promised three major Android updates. There are four colours to choose from – Torino Black, Monza Red, Amalfi Blue and Roma Silver.

While global pricing remains unknown, Infinix has revealed the Malaysian pricing, which starts at 3,000 Malaysian Ringgit (approximately Rs 70,000). More information about the India pricing should be revealed soon, so stay tuned!
