Summary

  • A new Infinix phone has surfaced on Geekbench with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor.
  • It has managed to score 1,232 points and 3,325 points in single-core and multi-core tests, respectively.
  • The mysterious Infinix phone could also arrive with Android 16 and 8 GB RAM.

Smartphone brand Infinix has been a fan of MediaTek processors for its smartphones. From the budget Infinix Smart 10 to the mid-range GT 30 Pro 5G+, all have a Dimensity chip inside. Now, it looks like the brand is finally switching to Qualcomm for its upcoming smartphone.

The new Infinix phone could be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4

The new smartphone has been listed under the Infinix X6878 model number in Geekbench 6.4.0. The Infinix phone has managed to score 1,232 points in the single-core CPU test. Meanwhile, it has achieved 3,325 points in the multi-core test.

As for the processor, the listing mentions an octa-core processor with 4 cores clocked at 1.80 GHz, 3 cores clocked at 2.40 GHz and 1 core clocked at 2.71 GHz. It also bears the Adreno 810 GPU.

Given how familiar the CPU and GPU architecture is and how low the scores are, we expect the next phone from Infinix to use the recently launched Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor. This is a relatively new mid-range chipset, which is a toned-down version of the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. Currently, only the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ uses this SoC at the time of writing.

Other than that, going by the listing, we also know that the mysterious Infinix phone will also be one of the Android 16-supported devices right out of the box with 8 GB RAM.

That said, the other details of this new Infinix smartphone are scarce right now. The official name of the alleged phone is not even known. Hence, we will urge you to take this information with a grain of salt and wait for further development to occur.
