The iQOO 16 officially launched in China last month as the brand's latest power-packed smartphone. Now, the phone is headed to India and will become the first iQOO phone to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset and OriginOS 7.
iQOO 16 Set to Launch in India Soon
At the ongoing Snapdragon Day 2026 event in Delhi, India, iQOO India CEO Nipun Marya took the stage to confirm that iQOO 16 is launching in India "very soon". Sadly, the official launch date is not out yet.
He also confirmed that the iQOO 16 will become the first iQOO phone to launch in India with the 2nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset. It will also become the first of the few iQOO phones to ship with the OriginOS 7 update out of the box.
