Earlier this month, iQOO India CEO Nipun Marya confirmed that the iQOO 16 is coming to India “very soon”, but didn’t share a date. Now, we might finally have a rough timeline, as a new leak has given exactly that.
According to tipster Abhishek Yadav on X, the iQOO 16 will allegedly launch in India around December 15 to 17, 2026. He claims to have gathered this information from an unnamed source. Since iQOO hasn’t confirmed this yet, take it with a pinch of salt for now.

If this is accurate, then the iQOO 16 will arrive in India about two and a half months after the iQOO 16 China launch date. That’s also a few weeks later than the iQOO 15, which launched in India on November 26, 2025.
Since iQOO has not officially commented, we can only expect that the reason for this delay is the ongoing RAM crisis.
iQOO 16 Price in India (Expected)
Speaking of the RAM crisis, while India might see the iQOO 16 launch at a later time, it might still not bring a respite from the price hike. In China, the iQOO 16 starts at 5,999 yuan (approx. Rs 80,500) for the 12 GB + 256 GB variant. The top-end 16 GB + 1 TB model costs as much as 8,499 yuan (approx. Rs 1,13,900).

Earlier, tipster Yogesh Brar suggested the iQOO 16 could cross Rs 1 lakh in India because of rising memory costs. For context, the iQOO 15 now costs Rs 85,999 in India after multiple price hikes. So, don’t expect the iQOO 16 to be cheap.
