Itel has launched the Itel Care, a feature phone designed specifically for senior citizens. It comes with oversized buttons, a magnified display, a loudspeaker and a dedicated SOS button that can alert family members during emergencies. It comes just weeks after the Itel Ace 4 Shine debuted in India for the elderly.
Itel Care Specifications and Features
Unlike regular all-purpose feature phones, the Itel Care is designed to be easy for older people to use. The phone has oversized buttons and a 2-inch magnified display with large icons, so it's easier to read and press the keys.
There's also something called the King Voice, which reads out text and calls aloud in English and Hindi. This is useful for people who have trouble reading small text on a screen. The phone also supports 10 UI languages and can display text in 22 languages, making it suitable for everyone across the country.
The biggest highlight of the Itel Care feature phone is its dedicated SOS key. It's a red button on the side of the phone that, when pressed, sends an SMS alert and then calls up to five emergency contacts one by one.
Moving on, the phone also comes with a 2030 box speaker with a dedicated audio amplifier. This makes calls and ringtones louder, which is helpful for people with weaker hearing or hearing aids. Itel Care also uses AI-based noise cancellation (ENC) to make the user's voice sound clearer to the person on the other end.
Aside from that, the phone comes with a 1,150mAh battery with USB-C charging, wireless FM Radio support, dual-LED torch, VGA rear camera, 500 contacts with photo support, 4 GB of RAM, 4 MB of storage, Bluetooth, a 3.5mm headphone jack and single SIM 2G support.

Itel Care Price in India and Availability
The itel Care is priced at Rs 1,499 in India and comes in Black, Dark Green and Blue colourways. The phone will be available across the brand's network of over 1.3 lakh retail stores.
Itel Care is also part of Itel's one-year counter replacement warranty and comes with Carlcare service contact pre-installed.
