Itel has officially launched the Itel Tough in India as part of its durable INNO series. The phone features a rugged chassis and is engineered specifically for users in the agricultural sector or at outdoor job sites looking for phones that can take a serious beating.

Starting with its main selling point, the chassis, it is rated to survive 2-metre drops and carries an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance. To ensure further longevity, Itel bundles a dust-resistant silicone case in the box that offers extra cushioning from drops.
The front of the phone features a small 2.4-inch screen with an Itel logo and a T9 numeric pad with Hindi and English letters/legends. The back is fairly clean, with a large area at the top with tiny holes for the speakers, alongside an Itel logo. The bottom hosts a USB-C port for charging.
Beyond a tough exterior, the phone is packed with specific tools tailored for rural and field environments. For starters, there's a dedicated Agri Button that lets farmers access government agricultural helplines for market data and farming advisories.
Besides, the phone also packs a twin-lamp flashlight with higher luminosity for better visibility during night shifts or power outages. Additionally, the phone boasts an amplified speaker tuned specifically to outperform the loud background noise of construction or a fellow farmer's tractor that's passing by.
Lastly, the phone also brings onboard text-to-speech tool which can read out navigation menus, text messages and incoming caller details in both Hindi and English for greater accessibility. This could especially come in handy for older users hard of hearing or seeing.
Other specifications include a 2,000mAh battery, 2G connectivity, Bluetooth, Call Recording and a haptic motor. There is 4 MB of RAM, alongside support for up to 32 GB of storage via a microSD card.
