Lenovo has been making gaming Android tablets for quite some time now. The "Legion" portfolio of tabs is known to pack some of the best hardware amidst the competition. Now, it looks like the 2026 edition of the Legion Y700 is also shaping up to live up to that standard.
The Legion Y700 2026 is getting the "Elite" treatments
As per tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS), the upcoming Lenovo Legion Y700 2026 tablet will draw its power from the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. While nothing has been made official yet, if true this could very well become the first Android tablet to launch with the latest Qualcomm chipset.

This is because DCS claims that Lenovo is planning to launch the Legion Y700 2026 by the first half of 2026. Since the 2025 edition of the tablet launched in May 2025, expect to see a similar launch window for the next-gen model as well.
As for the other specs, the post claims that it will be an 8.8-inch LCD screen tablet with 3K resolution and 165 Hz refresh rate. It will follow the 16:10 aspect ratio just like the previous versions. Now, while the display specs are almost similar to the 2025 version, the tablet will gain serious cooling and battery upgrade.

Compared to the 7,600mAh capacity on the Legion Y700 2025, the Legion Y700 2026 is set to lead with a 9,000mAh battery capacity. This will mean a 1,400mAh increase than the last-gen. Also, the vapour chamber cooling area is also said to increase for better heat dissipation and sustained performance.
As for the other specs, based on the 2025 model, we can expect the 2026 one to feature the following peripherals:
- 8.8-inch 3K 165 Hz LCD display
- Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5
- 9,000mAh battery with 68W fast USB-C charging
- Android 16-based ZUI 17
- 50 MP main camera and 8 MP front camera
- LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.1 storage
That said, the above-mentioned details are not yet confirmed. So, take them with a pinch of salt. Since the last Legion tablet didn't arrive to India, we expect the Legion Y700 2026 to stay limited to regions like China and the USA.
