Lenovo has launched its latest compact flagship gaming tablet, the Legion Y700 AI (2026), in China. The tablet arrives with Qualcomm's latest flagship processor and up to 24 GB of RAM.
Lenovo Y700 AI Specifications and Features
The biggest highlight on the Lenovo Y700 AI is its 8.4-inch OLED display, featuring a 2,560 x 1,600-pixel resolution and a 165 Hz variable refresh rate.
The panel also supports up to 3,400Hz instantaneous touch sampling, which should make it particularly responsive during gaming. Lenovo claims up to 4,000 nits of peak brightness, while the display supports Dolby Vision, 100% DCI-P3 coverage, and 3,840Hz PWM dimming at lower brightness levels.
The OLED panel uses Tianma's flexible OLED technology and a Real RGB sub-pixel arrangement, which independently controls the red, green and blue sub-pixels.
Lenovo has included two USB-C ports, with the wider-side port supporting USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 speeds and DisplayPort video output. The tablet also features dual X-axis linear motors, dual speakers and Dolby Atmos support, bringing a complete entertainment package to the table.
Under the hood, the Lenovo Y700 AI is powered by an overclocked Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with LPDDR5T RAM and UFS 4.1 Pro storage. Lenovo claims the tablet can achieve an AnTuTu score of 4,585,844. The tablet also supports expandable storage via microSD cards of up to 2 TB.
To keep the Snapdragon chip cool during extended gaming sessions, Lenovo has fitted the tablet with its third-generation Qiankun cooling system and a large 15,000 mm² vapour chamber. The cooling plate is positioned centrally to help distribute heat across the chassis.
The tablet measures 208.54 x 129.46 x 6.5mm and weighs approximately 298 grams, making it relatively easy to hold compared with larger gaming tablets.
Despite its compact dimensions, the Legion Y700 AI packs a 7,470mAh battery with support for 68W fast charging. Lenovo has also included bypass charging, allowing users to power the tablet directly from the charger while gaming rather than continuously charging the battery.
For photography, there is a 50 MP rear camera and an 8 MP front-facing camera for video calls. The front camera sits inside a punch-hole cutout rather than being hidden under the display. There's also a rear notification lighting ring integrated into the camera module that the brand is calling the Legion Halo.
As its "AI" branding suggests, the Lenovo Y700 AI comes with several AI-focused software features, including an AI voice assistant, real-time simultaneous interpretation, active sensing and context-based search. The tablet runs on Android 16 with Lenovo's ZUI 16 on top.
Lenovo is also offering accessories aimed at gaming, including its G9 controller, arcade dock and CR7 Supreme Cooler Kit.

The Lenovo Legion Y700 AI price in China starts at 5,499 Chinese yuan (approximately Rs 78,000) for the 12 GB + 256 GB variant. It also comes in 16 GB + 512 GB and 24 GB + 1 TB variants.
The tablet is currently available in China, with Lenovo yet to confirm a global and India launch.
