A few days ago, we learned that Lenovo is preparing to refresh its compact gaming tablet lineup with the next-generation Legion Y700, also known as the Legion Tablet globally. Following teasers of the redesigned rear panel with a unique RGB light, the brand has recently shed more light on the tablet's internals.
Lenovo Y700 is coming with a massive 3K display
Lenovo has confirmed via its Weibo account that the upcoming tablet will retain the compact 8.8-inch form factor but with impressive upgrades. The panel features a high 3,040 x 1,904 resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate.

Designed for gaming, it also boasts a whopping 2,640Hz instant touch sampling rate and reaches 800 nits of peak brightness. The display covers the majority of the DCI-P3 colour gamut with a 12-bit colour depth. Besides, renowned tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed the RAM and storage configurations of the tablet.
According to DCS, the tablet will likely run the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and could arrive in three memory configurations – 12 GB + 256 GB, 16 GB + 512 GB and 24 GB + 1 TB. Additionally, a previous Lenovo Y700 battery leak pointed to a 9,000mAh battery with 68W charging support. The tablet is expected to weigh 360 grams.

We also know that the Y700 will arrive in two colours: White and Black. While details about other specifications remain under wraps, Lenovo is expected to unveil more in the coming weeks. The exact launch date of the tablet is also unknown, but rumours point to a March 2026 launch.
Similarly, there's no information about whether the tablet will launch globally. Since the Y700 Gen 4 remained China-exclusive, chances are, the Y700 2026 may also not make it outside of China. However, we'd like to remain positive.
