Summary

  • Motorola has announced the Moto g05 and Moto g05 Power at IFA 2025.
  • Both phones feature a 6.88-inch HD+ LCD display, the Helio G81 Extreme processor and an IP64 rating.
  • Additionally, the g05 Power brings Motorola's biggest battery at 7,000mAh.

Alongside the Motorola Edge 60 Neo, the brand has also added two new members to its "Moto g" family – g06 and g06 Power during the ongoing IFA 2025 event. Both phones feature big displays, with the g06 Power also packing a large 7,000mAh battery. Here's a detailed rundown of the specifications and other details of both phones.

Moto g06 and g06 Power Specifications and Features

One of the key highlights of the smartphones is their display. At 6.88 inches, this is the brand's biggest display ever on a "Moto g" device. Both are HD+ 90 Hz IPS LCD panels with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and up to 600 nits of peak brightness.

It is clear that Motorola wants the g06 and the g06 Power to be the go-to portable entertainment powerhouse. The phones also feature Dolby Vision support as a bonus.

Another area where the Moto g06 series shines is in their battery capacity. While the standard g06 gets a respectable 5,200mAh cell, the g06 Power packs a 7,000mAh capacity. It is the only smartphone from Motorola to feature a 7,000mAh battery.

The brand claims up to 1000 charge cycles with 80% capacity even after "years of usage". The phones are further backed with 18W USB-C charging support.

Both the Moto g06 and g06 Power also feature an AI-powered 50 MP primary rear camera and an 8 MP selfie shooter. The cameras are backed by AI features that are said to add "studio-like effects to portraits and night shots for an effortless burst of creativity."
