Motorola seems to be working on a bunch of budget devices and now, it's time for the g36 to make a grand entry into the rumour mill. The budget device has appeared on the TENAA certification website, which reveals not just the design, but also its key specs.
Spotted by tipster Anvin (@ZionsAnvin on X), the Moto g36 seems to have taken a major design shift. This time around, the budget device is seen flaunting a bigger camera module than the Moto g35, housing more camera lenses as well.

Moto G36 5G specifications:
- 6.72-inch 1.5K LCD screen
- 2.4GHz chip
- 4GB / 8GB / 12GB / 16GB RAM
- 64GB / 128GB / 256GB / 512GB storage
- 6,790mAhrated battery (could be 7,000mAh typical)
- 32MP front… pic.twitter.com/tektKzQm9d
From the looks of it, Motorola will once again shift to its Pantone-validated vegan leather back panel. Going by the design renders shown by the certification website, the power button appears to be slightly elevated.
As for the specs, for the most part, it appears to share more or less the same sheet with the Moto g35. However, with the g36, Motorola could be entering the 7,000mAh battery trend. At least, that's what the listing suggests.

That's probably why the listing reveals it to be thicker at 8.7mm and heavier at 210 grams than the g35 (7.79mm thickness and 185 grams weight). However, it could borrow the 6.72-inch 1.5K LCD display from its predecessor, with most likely a 120 Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the device could be powered by a chipset clocked at 2.4 GHz.
As per the certification website, the Moto g36 could come with up to 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage, which seems quite unlikely. However, one can certainly expect to see it in the 4 GB + 128 GB and 8 GB + 128 GB options.
The rear camera setup appears to be the same as the previous generation, with a 50 MP primary snapper and an 8 MP ultrawide. However, the front camera has reportedly gotten an upgrade to 32 MP, up from 16 MP on the g35.
For now, this is all that's known about the device. This adds to the Moto G 2026 and Moto G Play 2026, which surfaced very recently. However, expect more details to surface in the coming days and possibly an official tease from the brand itself.
