Moto's upcoming mid-range smartphone, the Moto G86, has appeared on BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) website hinting that it may soon arrive to Indian shores. The phone is expected to fit into the under Rs 20,000 market, and here's what you need to know.
A mysterious Moto phone was first spotted by the folks over 91mobiles on the BIS website. The phone's SKU number XT2527-5 suggests it's the Moto G86 because an almost similar model number on the US' FCC platform, XT2527-1, turned out to be the Moto G86.

The fact that it has showed up on BIS suggests the launch is imminent, perhaps in the next few months or sooner. The Moto G85 was one of the best mid-range devices in the market, and we expect the Moto G86 to one-up the same.
The phone has already launched in the US and sports a 6.67-inches 1.5K AMOLED display combined with a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC. There's 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage on offer. Powering the device is a 5,200 mAh battery coupled with 30W fast charging.
There's IP68/69 water resistance, dual-speakers, Gorilla Glass 7i protection, and a USB 2.0 Type-C port. Moto promises 4 years of security updates, and the phone will also probably arrive with Android 15 out of the box.
Also like in the US, the phone should arrive in four colours – Black, Gray, Chrysanthemum, and Cypress. The phone is expected to be priced competitively at under Rs 20,000 to woo in the budget phone users.
