First, Motorola dropped a cryptic teaser for a new "Edgy" smartphone coming to India. While the teaser was enough to give away this phone as the Motorola Edge 60, we now have official confirmation.
Thanks to the dedicated Flipkart microsite, we now know that the Moto Edge 60 will launch in India on June 10, 2025, at 12:00 PM IST. Sitting between the Edge 60 Fusion and Edge 60 Pro, almost all of the phone's specifications have been confirmed via the official product page.
Motorola Edge 60 Specifications
The Motorola Edge 60 is quite the upgrade in comparison to its predecessor, the Edge 50. For starters, while the Edge 60 features the same 6.67-inch 1.5K 120Hz pOLED display, the brightness levels have gone up. The phone boasts 1400 nits brightness, which goes up to 4,500 nits in HBM (High Brightness Mode).
Display protection has gotten an upgrade too, up from Gorilla Glass 5 to Gorilla Glass 7i. Moreover, the Edge 60 comes with military-grade MIL-810H certification, while also bringing hybrid IP68 + IP69 rating to the table. Its predecessor was limited to an IP68 rating.

Design-wise, the Motorola Edge 60 doesn't look much different either. The camera system is bigger to fit the upgraded cameras, but that's about it. Moreover, it features a Pantone-approved vegan leather back. The product page confirms two colour variants— Pantone Shamrock and Pantone Gibraltar Sea.
Under the hood, there's the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset. It will be coupled with 12 GB LPDDR4X RAM, which is more than the Edge 50's 8 GB RAM. Internal storage remains the same, though, with 256 GB UFS 2.2 storage.
Talking about optics, the Edge 60 will feature a triple camera system with a 50 MP Sony-LYT700C main sensor, a 50 MP ultrawide sensor that doubles as a macro lens, and a 10 MP telephoto sensor. That's the biggest upgrade over the Edge 50, which had a 50 MP + 13 MP setup. There's a 50 MP selfie camera on the front as well.
Battery capacity on the Motorola Edge 60 has gone up to 5,500mAh from 5,000mAh on the Edge 50. It's still paired with 68W fast charging support.
On the software front, the Edge 60 runs Android 15-based Hello UI. The brand promises more updates for the Edge 60— three years of major OS updates and four years of security patches. Let's hope that Motorola doesn't ignore the Edge 60 and rolls out timely updates.

Additionally, you get Moto AI on the Edge 60 as well, which will bring AI Playlist Studio, AI Image Studio, and other features to the device. Other specifications include an in-display fingerprint scanner, microSD card support, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, NFC, and dual SIM support.
However, not much is known about the Edge 60 pricing yet. Given that the Motorola Edge 50 launched for Rs 27,999 last year, users can expect its successor to start around the same price or maybe even Rs 30,000.
With the launch less than a day away, it will be interesting to see how the brand prices the device. Stay tuned for our official launch coverage.
