Motorola has launched the Edge 70 Plus smartphone at IFA Berlin, alongside a slew of other products to expand its ecosystem. The Edge 70 Plus joins the already expansive Edge 70 series, and it aims to bring all-around performance without burning a hole in users' pockets.
Motorola Edge 70 Plus Specifications
Starting with the design, looks-wise, the Edge 70 Plus is unapologetically Motorola. It features a square-ish camera island at the back with what looks like three lenses alongside an LED flash. There's a curved display alongside a hole-punch that houses the front camera. The rear is made of acetate, while the frame itself is plastic.

The Edge 70 Plus measures 8.49 mm in thickness and boasts IP64 water and dust resistance. Besides, the phone is also MIL-STD-810H certified for drop protection, and the display is protected by Corning's Gorilla Glass 7i.
Speaking of which, the front of the Edge 70 Plus boasts a 6.78-inch 144 Hz Extreme AMOLED panel with 1.5K resolution and 5,200 nits of peak brightness. The display covers 100% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut, boasts a touch sampling rate of 1,500 Hz, and is HDR10+ certified for watching content.

Performance-wise, there's a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor combined with up to 8 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256 GB UFS 3.1 storage. The phone also boasts expandable storage of up to 1 TB via a microSD card slot. Fuelling the internals is a 6,500mAh battery with 45W fast charging and 7.5W reverse wired charging.
Coming to the optics, the Moto Edge 70 Plus features a 200 MP primary wide camera combined with a 2 MP macro lens and a dedicated 3-in-1 light sensor. For selfies, there's a 32 MP front camera embedded in the punch-hole.

The phone sticks with Hello UI based on Android 16. While there's no mention of Android updates, Moto does promise 5 years of security patches.
Lastly, in terms of connectivity, the phone comes with 5G, Bluetooth 6.0, Wi-Fi 6E, NFC, and a USB 2.0 Type-C port at the bottom. An in-display optical fingerprint scanner handles security, while dual-stereo speakers improve the content experience.
