Launched in 2024, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 is not the best mid-range chipset in the market right now, but its efficiency and stability outranks many competing chips. So we benchmarked the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 to evaluate its CPU and GPU performance across AnTuTu, Geekbench, CPU Throttling Test, 3DMark, and more. On that note, let's check out the findings.
Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 AnTuTu Score
AnTuTu Benchmark | Score |
Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 AnTuTu Score | 783,345 |
CPU | 259,031 |
GPU | 202,192 |
Memory | 165,450 |
UX | 160,672 |
First of all, we performed the AnTuTu V10 benchmark on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, running on the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro. In the AnTuTu benchmark, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 achieved a modest 783,345 points. The 8-core Kryo CPU got 259,031 points and the Adreno GPU stood at 202,192 points. While the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 couldn't cross the 1-million mark, it delivered respectable performance in the mid-range segment.
Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 Geekbench Score
Geekbench 6 CPU | Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 |
Single-core | 1,164 |
Multi-core | 3,252 |
Next, to evaluate the CPU performance, we ran the Geekbench 6 CPU test. In Geekbench, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 received 1,164 points in single-core tasks and 3,252 in multi-core tasks. Again, the CPU performance is decent at best, given that it's a mid-range 7-series chipset. The Cortex-A720 CPU core is clocked up to 2.5GHz and four Cortex-A520 cores go up to 1.8GHz.
Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 CPU Throttling Test
CPU Throttling Test | Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 |
Maximum Score | 312,851 GIPS |
Average Score | 306,593 GIPS |
Minimum Score | 288,448 GIPS |
Throttling Percentage (Higher is better) | No CPU Thermal Throttling Detected |
We also ran the CPU Throttling Test for 15 minutes on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, and to our surprise, it didn't throttle at all. Even under heavy load, the test didn't detect any CPU thermal throttling, which is pretty impressive. Thanks to better cooling on the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro, you get peak CPU performance for an extended period.
Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 3DMark Score
3DMark Wild Life Extreme Stress Test | Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 |
Best Loop Score | 1,049 |
Lowest Loop Score | 1,046 |
Stability | 99.7% |
Now to test the Adreno GPU inside the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, we ran the 3DMark Wild Life Extreme Stress test. In this test, it got the best loop score of 1,049 and the lowest loop score of 1,046 with an incredible stability of 99.7%. Just like the CPU, the GPU is also very stable under extreme load. However, you don't get graphics performance like the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 which scores around 1,800 in the same test.
Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 Speedometer 3.0 Score
Finally, in the Speedometer 3.0 benchmark which tests the CPU on web responsiveness, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 scored 8.88 points. It means that the CPU is decent enough for everyday web browsing tasks.

Verdict
To sum up, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 packs somewhat newer CPU cores, but its performance is below average. The GPU performance is also not great in the mid-range segment. That said, the CPU and GPU maintain great stability even under extreme stress. At best, It's a slightly upgraded variant of the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, thanks to its efficient cores. Overall, if you are buying a phone under Rs. 20,000 with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, you can consider this chip.
