The Nothing Ear (Open) launched way back in September 2024 as the brand's first open-ear TWS earbuds. Well, it looks like the Nothing Ear (Open) 2 will finally launch as its predecessor, almost two years later.
The official Nothing X account has teased Flaaffy, a Pokémon, in the blue colour scheme. For those unaware, Nothing uses Pokémon as an internal marketing code to tease their devices.

The original Ear (Open) 2 was teased in the original Flaaffy pink colour. That's how we're very sure about this being the Ear (Open) 2, although the brand hasn't explicitly namedropped it.
Nothing Ear (Open) 2 Specifications and Price in India
We also don't know anything about the Nothing Ear (Open) 2 specifications. However, we can expect it to arrive with similar features to its predecessor but with a more distinct design (hopefully). Here's a quick rundown of the Ear (Open) for reference:
- Bluetooth 5.3 with AAC and SBC codecs.
- Supports Google Fast Pair and Microsoft Swift Pair
- 14.2 mm titanium-coated dynamic drivers
- IP54 water resistance
- 64mAh battery per earbud, 634 mAh battery in the case
- Noise cancellation and transparency modes
- 3 microphones with AI Clear Voice Technology to cancel out wind noise
- 120 ms Low Lag Mode
- Fast charging support – 2 hours of playback in 10 minutes of charging
However, the Nothing Ear (Open) 2 will launch globally first and come to India much later. For reference, the Nothing Ear (Open) India sale was made live only in September 2025, a whole year after its global debut.
As for the Nothing Ear (Open) 2 price in India, it could be set anywhere between Rs 10,000 to Rs 12,000, since the first iteration launched for Rs 9,999.
