Summary

  • The Nothing Phone (3) is now confirmed to launch on July 1, 2025 in India and globally.
  • The company is replacing the glyph lights with possibly a dot matrix panel on its first 'true flagship' phone.
  • The Phone (3) is expected to be powered by the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.

The wait is finally over as Nothing is set to officially unveil the Phone (3) on July 1, 2025, at 18:00 BST (or 10:30 PM IST). This announcement comes directly from the brand's X (formerly Twitter) account. This is in line with the "Summer 2025" launch window that the brand teased previously.

The X post with the Nothing Phone (3) launch date includes a video teasing the dot-matrix design, along with the 'Come to Play' marketing.

We have also seen the brand confirm that it 'killed' the Glyph Interface, a staple for every Nothing phone launched to date. With the Phone (3), it is rumored that Nothing will embrace the dot matrix found in the likes of the ASUS ROG Phone lineup.

What to expect from Nothing Phone 3?

The brand has only recently started generating hype and has yet to reveal the specifications of Nothing Phone (3). However, Nothing CEO Carl Pei has already confirmed that Phone (3) would be their "first true flagship" with premium materials and major performance upgrades.

While we did get the Phone (2) powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, it is seen by many as a premium mid-ranger. Since Nothing Phone (3) is a flagship, users can expect it to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite.  If not the top-of-the-line 8 Elite, the company could have opted for the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4.

But we are sure that it will house a Snapdragon chipset under the hood; not a MediaTek one. How do we know this? Well, in response to Nothing's announcement, the @Snapdragon_UK account asked, "Who's ready to play?" on X, thus, confirming this detail.

As a result, Nothing is bumping up the price this time around. Earlier in May, during the Android Show, Pei hinted that the Phone (3) will cost around 800 pounds, which translates to roughly Rs 92,500. However, it should be known that the Indian pricing won't be a direct conversion. Instead, leaks suggest that Nothing Phone (3) price in India will start around Rs 60,000 - Rs 70,000. What are your price expectations?

As for availability, Nothing continues its partnership with Flipkart, and a landing page for the phone is live already.

The Nothing Phone (3) is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated smartphones of 2025. With the brand breaking its wall of vagueness and sharing an official release date, we can expect to learn more official details in the days leading up to the launch.
