Nothing announced the Phone (3a) Community Edition Project back in March 2025 after the launch of the Phone (3a) series. For the past nine months, the community has been tirelessly collaborating with the London-based tech brand to build a new variant of the Phone (3a). Now, it looks like the end product is finally ready to launch.
Nothing Phone (3a) Community Edition is going official next week
The official X handle of Nothing has confirmed that the Phone (3a) Community Edition will launch globally on December 9, 2025, at 18:00 GMT (or 7:30 PM IST). The post also contains a short teaser video with numerous playful elements in the signature Nothing style.

While the official design hasn't been released yet, one thing is certain. Just like the Phone (2a) Community Edition, the Phone (3a) Community Edition will also feature a vibrant colour palette and playful design elements.
Moreover, the current winner of the Community Edition challenge is Emre Kayganci, who has a very shiny and vibrant variant of the phone to offer. His design is officially called Translucent Memories and features elements like a Turquoise green transparent back, yellow volume buttons, pink Essential Key and more.

So, there's a high possibility that Nothing will keep Emre's take on the Phone (3a) the final design inspiration for the Community Edition. It seems more obvious since the recent Phone (3a) Community Edition teaser contained a shiny image of the Pokémon, Arcanine.
That said, since the launch is just a few days away, we will know what Nothing and the community have been cooking behind the scenes. At the time of writing, there is no information regarding the Phone (3a) Community Edition's India launch. Hopefully, we will learn that as well soon.
