Nothing, the London-based brand, has its way to amp up the excitement around its products, and does so by uniquely using Pokémon names. The brand has now teased a new product by sharing an image of the Pokémon Arcanine, suggesting a special edition might be on its way.
Nothing Phone (3a) Community Edition coming soon?
Zac from the Nothing Community team shared an image of a shiny variant of the Pokémon Arcanine. The image is labelled "Marketing.ntg" and contains the names of five folks who were declared winners of the Community Edition Project 2025 seven months ago.
The Pokémon codename is associated with the Phone (3a) series, and the Pokémon's shiny variant suggests the firm could be working on a special edition Phone (3a), possibly the community edition.
Among the winners was Emre Kayganci, who secured the win with his Translucent Memories design of the Phone (3a). The phone features colour elements that match closely with the photo of shiny Arcanine shared by Nothing.
However, as with all Nothing teasers, the true meaning remains open to interpretation. While a Phone (3a) Community Edition seems likely, the brand may have other surprises in store. The official announcement could happen soon, so stay tuned.
