Nothing has made a name for itself in the smartphones and audio industry, and it's now reportedly looking to enter the smart glasses market. A new leak now hints that the London-based brand is developing two versions of smart glasses, with at least one equipped with a camera and AI features.
The leak arrives in the form of a Bluesky post from notable leaker Roland Quandt who Nothing is working on two pairs of smart glasses. There's an audio-only smart glasses model which will reportedly function as an "audio player" for listening to music, taking calls and interacting with a voice assistant.
The second pair of smart glasses will reportedly incorporate a camera and ChatGPT alongside all the features of the audio-only version. According to the report, both smart glasses will arrive with photochromatic lenses, meaning they'll get darker under daylight.
The report is largely in line with an earlier leak from April 2026 that suggested Nothing is working on smart glasses for a potential launch in 2027. Back then, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman had hinted that Nothing's smart glasses will resemble the first-gen Ray-Ban Meta smart glass with microphone, speakers and cameras.
With audio-only smart glasses also in the mix, Nothing could play it safe amidst concerns about camera-equipped smart glasses being a privacy nightmare. Meta also recently announced its own Ray-Ban Meta Audio without cameras, so it makes sense for Nothing to offer two sets of glasses.
Other than the feature-set, the leak didn't reveal anything about the smart glasses' design. But going by Gurman's initial suggestions and the company's own products, it's likely that the glasses will incorporate the distinct 'Nothing' look with transparent elements throughout.
And with existing controversies around AI smart glasses, it remains to be seen how Nothing tackles the design without standing out too much. Since there's no concrete launch timeline yet, we should hear more about these new smart glasses in the following months.
