Chinese smartphone brand Nubia is seemingly prepping to launch the next flagship Nubia Z80 Ultra. While the device is still in its early rumour stage, a new revelation has spilt some key battery and other details of the smartphone.
According to tipster, Panda is very bald, the upcoming Nubia Z80 Ultra will reportedly feature a 7,200mAh battery, paired with 90W fast USB-C charging support.

However, even after packing a sizeable battery capacity, the device is apparently going to maintain a sleek form factor. It is said to bring only 7.8mm thickness and 225 grams of weight. If true, this will actually bring a notable design change to the Z80 Ultra compared to the 2024 Nubia Z70 Ultra.
For context, even after packing a 6,150mAh battery, the device was 8.6mm thick and weighed 228 grams. Hence, the upcoming Z80 Ultra will not only manage to reduce the thickness and weight by 0.8mm and 3 grams respectively, it will also manage to pack an additional 1,050mAh capacity.

Nubia Z80 Ultra could flaunt an under-display selfie camera
The Nubia Z60 series, back in 2023, became the first Nubia device to feature an under-display selfie camera. It soon became popular for its interruption-free viewing experience and an overall upgrade in terms of design aesthetics. So, with the Z80 Ultra, we expect the brand to continue to feature an under-display selfie camera, maintaining the lineup's unique proposition intact.

Other than that, expect the phone to bring a 144 Hz 1.5K AMOLED panel to the table. Also, just like the Z70 Ultra, expect to see the latest and greatest processor from Qualcomm underneath – the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
Apart from this, if we are to go by previous speculation, the Nubia Z80 Ultra could feature a triple rear camera setup with a 50 MP main sensor, an ultra-wide angle lens and an OmniVision OV64B periscope telephoto lens module.
That said, since nothing has been confirmed yet, take these details with a pinch of salt. We will be sure to report once official details of the Nubia Z80 Ultra lands online. It is expected to go official on October 22, 2025 in China and is said to arrive in the Phantom Black, Glacial White and a Starry Night Collector’s Edition colour options.
