Nubia has finally launched its flagship Z80 Ultra in China, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. The new flagship aims to impress with not just its powerful Snapdragon chipset but also a massive battery and stellar display. Here's a quick rundown of its complete specifications, as well as pricing and availability details.
Nubia Z80 Ultra flaunts an impressive specs sheet
The Z80 Ultra features a 6.85-inch BOE X10 OLED display with a 1.5K resolution, 144 Hz refresh rate and up to 2,000 nits of peak brightness. This panel also supports 3,000 Hz of touch sampling rate and is backed by dual DTS:X Ultra-tuned speakers for an immersive viewing experience. There are dedicated gaming triggers on the frame as well for enhanced gameplay.

Under the hood, the Nubia Z80 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, paired with up to 24 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1 TB of UFS 4.1 storage. For better thermal management, the flagship phone also flaunts a composite liquid metal cooling system with a large 3D Ice Steel VC vapour chamber.
As for cameras, the Z80 Ultra is equipped with a triple rear camera setup led by a 1/1.3-inch 50 MP Light Master 990 sensor, a 1/1.55-inch 50 MP ultra-wide angle lens and a 1/2-inch 64 MP periscope telephoto lens with OIS. At the front, there's a 16 MP under-display camera as well.

Additionally, the cameras on Nubia's latest smartphone are backed by AI voice-guided composition, smart filter suggestions, alongside the brand offering a "Professional Photography Kit" with an external lens and grip support.
Fueling the Nubia Z80 Ultra is a massive 7,200mAh battery with support for 90W wired fast charging and 80W wireless charging. The phone uses a USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 port for charging and data transfer. There's also support for reverse wireless charging. Notably, the phone is also dual IP68 and IP69 rated.

Further, connectivity options are adequate as well, with dual 5G SIM support, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC and the usual. On the software front, the Z80 Ultra runs on Android 15-based MyOS 14 right out of the box.
In China, the Nubia Z80 Ultra starts at 4,999 Chinese Yuan (approximately Rs 61,500) for the base 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage model. Additionally, the phone comes in the Condensed Light White, Phantom Black and a special-edition Starry Night Collector's Edition colourways.
