OnePlus's attempts at making a good compact phone were short-lived due to rapid internal changes in the company, thwarting the OnePlus 15s' release in India. However, the brand is expected to soon announce the OnePlus 16T with a powerful next-gen Snapdragon chipset.
OnePlus 16T Key Details Revealed
According to prominent tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, OnePlus could be prepping a new 6.3-inch smartphone with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, which many believe to be the OnePlus 16T. The smartphone will feature a flat display with an "ultra-high" refresh rate, while other specifications are yet to surface online.
While not much is known about the upcoming OnePlus 15T successor at the moment, it is expected to focus more on battery endurance as well. For starters, despite its size, the OnePlus 15T arrived with a 7,500mAh battery, and we expect the OnePlus 16T to breach the 8,000mAh mark.
The smartphone could arrive in India as the OnePlus 16s, as the OnePlus 13s was also a rebranded 13T. However, considering that the OnePlus 15s India launch is reportedly cancelled, the brand could directly introduce the OnePlus 16s next year.
