The Oppo K13 Turbo series is launching in China later this month with a dedicated cooling fan to keep the thermals in check. Now, rumours suggest OnePlus could borrow the feature for the Ace 6 Ultra and improve it further.
According to Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra could also feature an active cooling fan. The Oppo K13 Turbo boasts water resistance ratings (IPX6, X8, X9) despite having an opening for the fan. However, OnePlus wants to take it further by making the Ace 6 Ultra both water and dust resistant with IP68/69 ratings.

OnePlus recently launched the Ace 5 Ultra, so there's at least a year before we start hearing more about the Ace 6 Ultra. The device could launch under the Nord branding in India but considering Nord 5 and Nord 5 CE just launched, it's too early to speculate.

While not much is known about the phone yet, we can expect the Ace 6 Ultra to sport a larger battery by using Silicon Carbon technology. The other key specifications of the device like the processor and cameras are currently unknown.
The leak also suggests that active cooling fans are being tested by more firms. For those unaware of the potential benefits of having a physical cooling fan, it helps keep the thermals of the phone in check to ensure maximum performance during continuous gaming sessions.
With Vapour chambers getting bigger and firms now moving to active cooling, gamers are up for a treat for the next few years. The Oppo K13 Turbo launches on July 21, 2025, and it should be interesting to see the difference active cooling makes, if at all.
