OnePlus Nord 5 Launched in India with Snapdragon 8s Gen 3

The OnePlus Nord 5 has finally gone official in India with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. The latest Nord from the brand packs a host of upgrades from the previous generation and also gets the new Plus Key. Here's a detailed look at the key specifications of the OnePlus Nord 5 alongside its pricing and availability. 

OnePlus Nord 5 Specifications and Features

Kicking things off with the display, the OnePlus Nord 5 features a 6.83-inch 1.5K 144 Hz 10-bit Swift AMOLED flat display that reaches 1,400 nits of HBM (High Brightness Mode). The panel also covers 100% of DCI-P3 gamut and features a 3,000 Hz touch response rate as well as 3,840 Hz of PWM dimming. There's also Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection on top to keep clumsy folks at ease. 

This display is placed on an 8.1mm thick body that weighs 211 grams. The chassis is made out of plastic and the rear panel is made out of hard polycarbonate. There's also an IP65 rating for dust and splash resistance. 

The Nord 5 also borrows a dedicated OnePlus AI-backed Plus Key from the OnePlus 13s. Here, with a single tap of the Plus Key, users can summon OnePlus AI to "recognise screen content and add it as a memory." Then, it intelligently extracts key details from the screenshot and suggests quick actions. Other AI features include AI Search, AI Call Assistant and Translation, AI VoiceScribe and Circle to Search. 

The OnePlus Nord 5 runs on Android 15-based OxygenOS 15 right out of the box. Just like last year, the smartphone is said to get four major OS updates and six years of security patches. 

Under the hood, the phone boasts Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, which is a 4nm octa-core chipset with 1 x Cortex-X4 prime core clocked at 3.0 GHz, 4 x Cortex-A720 cores clocked at 2.8 GHz, and 3 x Cortex-A520 efficiency cores clocked at 2.0 GHz. 

The phone also features a 7,300 mm² Cryo-Velocity vapour chamber to handle thermals well during extended periods of gaming. Further, the device sports up to 12 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. 

The Nord 5 boasts a vertical camera island at the back with a dual lens setup driven by a primary 50 MP Sony LYT700 f/1.8 sensor with OIS. Meanwhile, the secondary sensor is an 8 MP ultrawide f/2.2 snapper. On the front, there is a 50 MP Samsung JN5 sensor with f/2.0 aperture. Both the rear and front cameras can record videos at up to 4K @ 60 FPS, making it an ideal choice for content creators. 

Powering the internals is a 6,800mAh Silicon Carbon battery capable of fast charging at 80W. The Nord 5 also features Bypass Charging to draw power directly from the charger. 

Connectivity-wise, the OnePlus Nord 5 comes with Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC and a USB-C 2.0 port. It also retains the Infrared Blaster at the top, alongside the optical in-display fingerprint sensor. You also get dual stereo speakers for a better entertainment experience.

OnePlus Nord 5 Price in India and Sale Date

The OnePlus Nord 5 starts from Rs 31,999 for the base 8 GB + 256 GB variant. Here's a rundown on all the storage variants and their pricing:
