OnePlus Nord CE 5 Unveiled in India with MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Apex Chipset

Alongside the launch of the Nord 5, OnePlus has also unveiled the Nord CE 5 smartphone in India. It expands the "Nord CE" lineup with sizeable upgrades like a 7,100mAh battery and MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Apex chipset. OnePlus Nord CE 5 Specifications and Features

One of the highlighting features of the Nord CE 5 is its battery capacity. With 7,100mAh, the latest device gets a 1,600mAh bump in capacity, compared to last year's Nord CE 4. This is made possible using a silicon carbon battery.

OnePlus claims that the device can offer more than 27 hours of battery life and can be quickly charged with the provided 80W fast charger. There is also Bypass Charging support to draw power directly from the source, reducing heat generation, battery wear and extended battery durability.

The next noteworthy feature of the Nord CE 5 is its display. It features a 6.77-inch Full HD+ 120 Hz 10-bit AMOLED panel with up to 300 Hz Touch Sampling Rate and up to 1,430 nits of peak brightness. The display is also HDR10+ certified and comes with OnePlus' Aqua Touch tech.

Coming to the design, the Nord CE 5 features a minimal plastic back panel with a vertical pill-shaped dual camera module. The device is surrounded by an 8.17mm thick plastic mid-frame and has both the power and volume buttons on the ride side of the frame. It is also lightweight at 199 grams.

While on the topic of design, let's have a look at the cameras on the Nord CE 5. The dual rear camera setup is home to a 50 MP Sony LYT-600 main sensor with OIS and an 8 MP ultra-wide OmniVision OV08D10 112° lens. The selfie camera is a 16 MP Sony IMX480 sensor with EIS.

Talking about the video quality, the rear camera setup can shoot up to 4K at 60 FPS footage. Meanwhile, the selfie sensor is capped at 1080p at 60 FPS.

It can be paired with up to 12 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. There is also support for virtual RAM expansion of up to 12 GB and microSD card support of up to 1 TB.

On the software front, the device runs on OxygenOS 15 based on Android 15 out of the box. It features signature OxygenOS experiences like Open Canvas, dynamic AOD, and more. Additionally, there is also the addition of OnePlus AI to the mix with handy features like AI Search, AI Toolbox 2.0, AI Voice Scribe, Circle to Search and more.

Lastly, the OnePlus Nord CE 5 also comes with an IP65 rating, an in-display fingerprint scanner, a bottom-firing speaker, an Infrared port, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, dual 5G SIM support, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C 2.0 port.
