While Oppo launched the Oppo Enco Air 5 TWS earbuds in India today, it has unveiled the Oppo Enco Air 5s TWS for the global market. Positioned below the Enco Air 5, the Air 5s is the first semi-in-ear TWS earbud from Oppo, which manages to pack impressive specs like ANC, dynamic drivers and more.
Oppo Enco Air 5s Specifications and Features
The Oppo Enco Air 5s packs all the essential features that users want. However, the main difference between this earbud and other Oppo earbuds is in the design. It gets a semi-in-ear style look, which is similar to the Apple AirPods and doesn't come fitted with silicone ear tips. Oppo says the "Enco Air5s makes everyday listening smarter, clearer, and more effortless".
For audio, each earbud is fitted with a 12 mm dynamic driver, tuned to deliver deeper bass and enhanced vocal clarity. It supports Oppo's Master Equaliser tuning with 3 Sound Master EQ modes and a 10-band custom EQ for precision tuning.
What's more impressive is that the Oppo Enco Air 5s features Adaptive Noise Cancellation despite not having a complete in-ear design. Oppo says that its Real-time Adaptive Noise Cancellation can respond to ambient sound thanks to its 800 kHz sampling rate. It is paired with a Tailored Voice-Cancelling System, which works in tandem with a triple microphone array to ensure call clarity in any environment.
Additionally, just like the Oppo Enco Air 5 and the more premium Oppo Enco Air 5 Pro, the Air 5s also gets the ability to enable real-time AI Translation with a simple tap of the earbud's stem. For connectivity, the earbuds come with Bluetooth 6.0 support, up to 10 meters of connectivity range, dual device pairing and Google Fast Pair support.
Battery life is another area where the TWS shines, as it is rated to deliver up to 48 hours of total playback with the charging case. The charging case packs a 530mAh battery, while each earbud comes with a 40.5mAh battery. The Enco Air 5 also supports fast charging and carries an IP55 rating, making it ideal for everyday use.
As for pricing and availability, Oppo has not revealed those details yet. The brand has confirmed that pricing will be revealed as the TWS goes on sale in select global markets. It will be available in Lunar White, Midnight Black and Starlight Purple colourways.
