Oppo Find N6 Promised to Fix Foldable Phones’ Biggest Problem

Oppo is gearing up to launch its next-generation foldable smartphone, the Find N6, shortly after the Chinese New Year. Although countless leaks about the foldable have surfaced, Oppo has made an announcement today which confirms one of the main selling points of the Find N6, i.e., a crease-free display.

Oppo Find N6 Will Solve the Display Crease Issue

Zhou Yibao, Product Manager for Oppo's Find series, posted a video on Weibo revealing that the Oppo Find N6 will solve a long-standing problem with foldables, the crease. The video demonstrates how display crease tends to ruin the experience and how users still consider it one of the major pain points of owning foldable phones.

It uses an analogy of two beds placed together, where the concept is great, but the gap in the middle often leads to an uncomfortable sleep. He signalled that the Find N6 will feature significant structural engineering to deliver a seamless display, making display creases a thing of the past.

Although the brand hasn't revealed much about the smartphone, previous Find N6 rumours suggest it will boast the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The crease-free display could be an 8.12-inch 120Hz LTPO unit, while the outer screen could boast a 6.62-inch LTPO OLED unit. Both the inner screen and outer screen are expected to house 20 MP cameras.

At the rear, the smartphone could feature a 200 MP main sensor flanked by two 50 MP lenses, one of them being a periscope telephoto. Other key specifications include 16 GB RAM, 1 TB storage and a larger 6,000mAh battery with 80W charging. The Find N6 has already cleared multiple certifications, and rumours suggest it could launch in February 2026.

Oppo isn't the only manufacturer working on a crease-free display. Both Samsung and Apple are committed to making crease-free foldables, too. After improving build quality and increasing battery capacities, crease-free displays appear to be the new focus for manufacturers. More information about the Find N6 should be revealed after the Chinese New Year, so stay tuned.
