The Oppo Pad Mini has finally launched in China alongside the Pad 5 Pro, Find X9 Ultra and Find X9s Pro. This is the brand's latest compact and ultra-slim tablet that packs in a stunning 2.5K AMOLED display, a generous battery and solid performance.

Oppo Pad Mini Specifications and Features

Starting with the display, the Oppo Pad Mini features a beautiful 8.8-inch 2.5K (2520 x 1680 pixels) flexible AMOLED display with a 144 Hz fast refresh rate and a 3:2 aspect ratio. This compact 10-bit panel also delivers a typical brightness of 800 nits and a peak brightness of 1,600 nits, making it more than suitable for outdoor usage. The display is also surrounded by symmetrical 2.99 mm bezels all around, giving it a sleek and modern look.

What adds to the premium experience is the tablet's ultra-slim 5.39mm thickness and a weight of about 279 grams, making it ideal for one-handed usage. Oppo has also packed in a generous 8,000mAh battery inside, paired with 67W fast charging, 55W PPS and 13.5W PD charging support.

Under the hood, the Oppo Pad Mini is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, coupled with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. For reference, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 is clocked at slightly lower frequencies in comparison to the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. However, it packs improved 3rd-generation Oryon CPU cores, making it a more balanced chipset and ideal for not just heavy multitasking but gaming too.

On the software front, the tablet runs on ColorOS 16 based on Android 16 out of the box. 

To get some casual photos in, the Oppo Pad Mini sports a 13 MP primary rear camera. For video calls and meetings, there's an 8 MP selfie shooter. The tablet also offers 4K @ 30 FPS video recording through the main camera. 

On the connectivity front, the tablet offers Wi-Fi 7, LDAC, aptX, LHDC 5.0 and a USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 port for charging. Out of the box, the Oppo Pad Mini also comes with WPS Office, making things very convenient for students and professionals alike.

Oppo Pad Mini Price and Availability

The Oppo Pad Mini price in China starts from 3,199 Chinese yuan (approximately Rs 44,000) for the 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage variant. It also comes in the 12 GB + 256 GB and 12 GB + 512 GB variants. The Oppo Pad Mini comes in Mint Green, Monet Purple and Space Grey colour options.

From the looks of it, the Oppo Pad Mini is easily the best compact flagship tablet so far into 2026. However, those looking for more power can turn to the Oppo Pad 5 Pro instead.
