Ultra-slim phones are the new trend now, but it looks like smartwatches are going to enter a new era of thinness too. Oppo has now confirmed to launch its Watch S in China on October 16, 2025, and from the looks of it, this is going to be the thinnest smartwatch to date.
Oppo took to its official Weibo handle to confirm its upcoming smartwatch out of nowhere. Additionally, we also get to know that the Oppo Watch S will come with a thickness of under 9mm. And, as the brand has already showcased in the posters, it will be as thin as a chip, a pencil and a SIM ejector tool.

Meanwhile, multiple tech enthusiasts took to Weibo to further compare the smartwatch to other objects like a pencil battery and even the proprietary Oppo Watch magnetic charging dock. While we don't get a complete look at the design of the smartwatch, from the sides, it looks a lot like the Oppo Watch X, aka the OnePlus Watch 2 in India.
We see the same digital crown at the top and the awkwardly placed button at the bottom edge as the Watch X. However, it's definitely much thinner as the Watch X came with a thickness of around 12mm.
Nothing is known in terms of the Oppo Watch S specifications. However, we do expect the brand to reveal some official details in the coming days leading up to the launch. Besides, the Oppo Find X9 launch in China has been scheduled for the same day, so we're looking forward to that as well.
