Oppo has been teasing the Find X9 series for a while now, revealing one key detail at a time. Now the brand has officially announced the launch date of the upcoming Android flagship phones.
Oppo's Find series Product Manager, Zhou Yibao has confirmed that the Find X9 and Find X9 Pro phones will launch in China on October 16, 2025. Both phones will go official at a dedicated event, just a day after the official ColorOS 16 announcement. This means that the Find X9 lineup will become the first ever Oppo smartphones to run and ship with Android 16-based ColorOS 16.

Find X9 series design officially revealed
Apart from making the launch date official, Yibao has also revealed the complete look of the Find X9 series smartphones. In a separate Weibo post, he has revealed that both the Find X9 and the Find X9 Pro will use a new velvet sanding process for the back glass. This new glass revitalisation process is said to give the back of the smartphones a velvety finish.

Yibao claims that this new process "imbues glass with a refined, understated velvety metallic sheen while creating a velvety, skin-friendly feel, giving the Find X9 series a unique velvet sanding finish". This new finish is said to incorporate micro-level precision to eliminate any rough or dull texture.
Additionally, both phones will also feature an industry-leading cold carving process, which will help create a seamless transition between the camera deco and the back panel. It will help deliver a continuous and uninterrupted in-hand feel. Yibao claims that this new process "completely eliminate the splicing feeling, so that the lens module and the back panel are connected naturally, as if they were one".

Apart from this, both the Find X9 and the Find X9 Pro will feature a brushed aluminium mid-frame with rounded edges and a flat profile. Both phones will feature the Hasselblad camera branding with a dedicated colour spectrum sensor.
Oppo Find X9 series core details
Obviously, the Oppo Find X9 will be the compact flagship of the lot with a 6.59-inch display. Meanwhile, the Oppo Find X9 Pro will bring a 6.78-inch large screen. The smartphones are also said to include the first ever Tianma OLED display panels which can go all the way down to 1 nit of brightness.

Moreover, as Yibao has already confirmed narrow display bezels on the Find X9 series, expect to see the phones deliver the best in-hand experience with its ultra-large arc frame design, rounded corners and flat displays.
Apart from this, the smartphones are also getting the Danxia Colour Restoration Lens upgrade along with 7,000+mAh batteries inside the Find X9 series. The smartphones will draw their power from the now official MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor.

The devices are allegedly going to house a 50 MP Sony LYT-808 main sensor, a 50 MP Samsung JN5 ultra-wide angle lens and a 50 MP Samsung JN9 3x periscope camera.
That said, since the smartphones are just a few weeks away from going official, we shall know more details soon. As for the colour options, Yibao has confirmed that the Find X9 will feature the Velvet Titanium, Frost White and Mist Black colour options. Meanwhile the Find X9 Pro will come in the Velvet Titanium and Frost White options along with a special "half masked" colour.
