Poco C81 and Poco C81x with Big 120 Hz Displays, up to 6,300mAh Batteries and HyperOS 3 Launched in India

Poco has officially launched the Poco C81 and Poco C81x in India, strengthening its foothold in the entry-level smartphone segment. The phones have launched as rebranded versions of the Redmi A7 series, which launched in India very recently.

Just like the Redmi A7 lineup, the new Poco C-series phones focus on practical essentials like large batteries, smooth displays and reliable day-to-day performance for users looking for affordable 4G smartphones.

Poco C81, C81x Specifications and Features

The Poco C81 is the more feature-packed phone of the two, sporting a large 6.9-inch HD+ LCD display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a 240 Hz touch sampling rate. Meanwhile, the Poco C81x offers a slightly smaller 6.88-inch panel.

On the software front, the Poco C81 runs on Android 16-based HyperOS 3 out of the box, while the C81x runs on Android 15-based HyperOS 2 instead.

Additionally, the C81 also packs a bigger 6,300mAh battery, while the C81x gets a smaller 5,200mAh unit. However, both phones come with 15W charging support. Due to the bigger battery, the C81 weighs 208 grams, while the C81x comes in at around 193 grams. However, somehow, the C81 is thinner at 8.15mm in comparison to the C81x's 8.26mm form.

Under the hood, both the Poco C81 and Poco C81x are powered by the Unisoc T7250 chipset, paired with up to 4 GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64 GB of UFS 2.2 storage.

For photos and videos, Poco has equipped both phones with a 13 MP primary rear camera with LED flash and an 8 MP front camera.

Connectivity options are adequate on both the Poco C81 and Poco C81x, with dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac 2.4GHz/5GHz and Bluetooth 5.2.

Unlike the Redmi A7 and Redmi A7 Pro, which are Amazon exclusives, the Poco C81 series will be available for purchase via Flipkart starting April 27, 2026.
