Just last week, the Poco M8 5G launched in India with the longest software update support seen on a budget Poco phone. Today, on January 13, 2026, the phone is all set to go on its very first sale in the subcontinent. Priced under Rs 20,000, the phone packs a 50 MP main camera, 20 MP selfie shooter, a big and bright AMOLED display with stereo speakers and more.

The Poco M8 5G India pricing starts from Rs 18,999 for the base variant and here's how all the variants are priced:

However, as part of a 12-hour launch offer, buyers will be able to grab the Poco M8 5G from Rs 15,999. This offer price includes a Rs 2,000 instant bank discount, paired with Rs 1,000 base price reduction. 

The phone will be available to purchase via Flipkart in the Glacial Blue, Carbon Black and Frost Silver colour options.

Poco M8 5G Specifications and Features

The Poco M8 5G packs a big 6.77-inch Full-HD+ 120 Hz curved AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 3,200 nits. Wrapping this display is a 7.35mm thick body that weighs roughly 178 grams. Users can also make use of the dual stereo speakers for a complete multimedia experience.

Under the hood, the Poco M8 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset which, for those unaware, is slightly better in performance than the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3. The chipset pairs with up to 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage

In terms of optics, the latest budget Poco phone uses a 50 MP Light Fusion 400 primary rear camera sensor with a 2 MP macro shooter. At the front, there's a 20 MP selfie shooter to take advantage of. 

On the software front, the Poco M8 5G runs on Android 15-based HyperOS 2.0 right out of the box. However, it is a part of the HyperOS 3.0 supported devices list, with the brand promising four major Android updates and six years of security patches. 

Fueling it all is a 5,520mAh battery with 45W fast charging support. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, IR Blaster and NFC. It also uses an in-display fingerprint sensor for security.
