After launching the Realme 16, Realme 16 Pro, Realme 16 Pro+ and Realme 16T, the brand is now adding another member to the lineup, the Realme 16x 5G. The brand has just confirmed the Realme 16x launch date in India, alongside revealing its design and key specifications.
A dedicated Flipkart microsite has confirmed that the Realme 16x 5G will launch in India on August 12, 2026, at 12:00 PM IST. The smartphone will be available to purchase via Flipkart in Blooming Brown and Blooming Silver colour options.
Meanwhile, the official Realme India e-store calls these colourways Endurance Brown and Glory White. At the time of writing, it is unclear which will be the official naming for the colourways.
As for the design, the Realme 16x 5G seems "inspired" by another Realme phone, the Realme Narzo 100x 5G. The phone features a dual camera setup with an RGB ring light at the bottom and an LED Flash at the top.
Realme 16x 5G Specifications and Features
Alongside the launch date and design of the 16x 5G, Realme has also shared multiple specs of the smartphone. For starters, the phone will feature a 144 Hz IPS LCD display with 1,200 nits of peak brightness.
Under the hood, the smartphone will be powered by the Dimensity 6300 chipset and will be paired with 6 GB of RAM (7 GB RAM expansion) and up to 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage. An earlier report leaked the Realme 16x 5G variants, revealing three RAM and storage options: 4 GB + 128 GB, 6 GB + 128 GB and 6 GB + 256 GB.
The phone will also feature a 5,300mm² vapour chamber cooling and ship with Realme UI 7 based on Android 16. Realme is promising 2 years of software and 3 years of security updates.
Realme 16x 5G will join the ranks of big-battery Realme phones with a 7,000mAh cell capacity. The phone will support 45W fast charging and reverse wired charging. For photography, the smartphone will feature a 50 MP main camera and several AI features like AI Ultra Clarity and AI Eraser.
As for the rest of the specs, it will sport an IP65 rating and MIL-STD-810H protection for durability. The Realme 16x 5G price in India will likely be set below the Realme 16T and could start from under Rs 25,000. However, we will know for sure when the phone launches next week. So, stay tuned.
