Realme is expected to unveil the GT 8 series in China next month, and leaks about the GT 8 and GT 8 Pro are gaining momentum. While the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 for GT 8 Pro was rumoured months ago, the new leak sheds more light on the device's design, camera hardware and a couple of other details.
Leaker Digital Chat Station had already revealed earlier that the Realme GT 8 Pro could feature a flat 2K display. Now, DCS takes to Weibo to suggest that the phone will also flaunt an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner. The phone is also said to pack a larger battery than its predecessor, with a rumoured 100W charging speed.

The leak also reiterated that the phone may feature a 200 MP periscope camera, rumoured to be Samsung's HP9, alongside a metal middle frame for better structural integrity. Besides, the haptics and speakers also seem to be getting an upgrade.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite 2, expected to power the Realme GT 8 Pro, is set to debut at the Snapdragon Summit 2025. It could be based on Qualcomm's third-generation Oryon cores and a faster GPU for greater performance gains.
With the specs sheet getting a notable bump, the GT 8 Pro could arrive with a higher price tag. For your reference, the Realme GT 7 Pro launched in India at Rs 59,999. So, expect the GT 8 Pro to be priced anywhere in between Rs 64,999 to Rs 69,999.
The GT 8 Pro is expected to launch in late October, though Realme hasn't officially confirmed the date yet. Stay tuned as we will be closely following its launch and any specification leaks that come our way.
