Realme Neo 8 colours could include a unique purple
Realme took over Weibo to announce the Neo 8 with a teaser that highlights the key design aspects of the smartphone. The phone will be available in a unique purple colour, featuring transparent elements complemented by an LED. The brand has also confirmed the smartphone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5.

Realme is positioning the Neo 8 as a dedicated gaming smartphone, aiming to rival smartphones like the iQOO Z11 Turbo. The brand claims the Neo 8 has already smashed through the 3.58 million mark on AnTuTu benchmarks, which is much higher than the scores of any of the existing Snapdragon 8 Gen 5-powered smartphones like the OnePlus 15R.
While that's all the official information we have from Realme, leaks point toward a flat 6.78-inch 1.5K Samsung OLED display with a 165 Hz refresh rate. Optics-wise, of the three cameras, one of them is said to be a 50 MP wide snapper, while the second is expected to be a telephoto with Realme's 120x AI zoom capabilities.

Powering the internals could be an 8,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging, alongside bypass charging. If that turns out to be true, the Realme Neo 8 could easily join the league of best battery backup phones. Lastly, Realme could continue its emphasis on build quality and durability with an IP68/69 rating. The phone could also feature a built-in ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.
While we don't know exactly when Realme intends to launch the Neo 8, we do know that it's rumoured to arrive sometime in January 2026. Considering Realme has already started teasing the smartphone, more leaks, alongside the exact release date, should arrive as we inch closer to the launch, so stay tuned.
