Xiaomi sub-brand, Redmi, has now launched the 5G version of its Redmi 15C in Europe. On paper, it's almost the same phone, with just the Dimensity 6300 chipset.
Redmi 15C 5G arrives with 50 MP camera
The budget Redmi phone features a 50 MP primary rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture, paired with an undisclosed secondary lens. This setup is backed by features like HDR, Night Mode, time-lapse and portrait mode. The primary setup can record up to 1080p @ 30 FPS videos. At the front, there's an 8 MP selfie shooter with an f/2.0 aperture, backed by a light ring, HDR and other features.

Under the hood, the phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, which brings 5G connectivity to the device. The chipset pairs up with 4 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and gets an additional 4 GB of VRAM. There's also up to 256 GB eMMC 5.1 storage and up to 1 TB of expansion via microSD card.
The Redmi 15C 5G also sports a big 6.9-inch HD+ display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. This 8-bit panel also offers 660 nits of typical brightness and 810 nits of HBM.

The screen is placed in an 8.2mm thick IP64-rated body that weighs 211 grams. A 6,000mAh battery can be thanked for this weight. There's also 33W fast charging to make use of.
On the software front, the Redmi 15C 5G runs on Android 15-based HyperOS 2 right out of the box. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.4, AAC/SBC/LDAC support, dual-band Wi-Fi and GPS. It also flaunts a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Redmi 15C 5G is currently limited to Europe and starts at 180 Euros (approximately Rs 18,500) for the base 4 GB + 128 GB variant. It comes in the Midnight Black, Mint Green and Dusk Purple colour options and is up on the Redmi Europe store.
