The Redmi 17C 5G has launched in India as an affordable 5G phone with an LCD display, Android 16 and a large battery. If the RAM crisis has you beat, this Redmi phone might be it.
Redmi 17C 5G Specifications and Features
The Redmi 17C 5G has a large 6.9-inch HD+ LCD display with a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, a 240 Hz touch sampling rate and up to 810 nits of peak brightness. The panel also comes with Wet Touch 2.0 and it's TÜV Rheinland certified for low blue light.

Under the hood, the Redmi 17C 5G is powered by the Dimensity 6300 chipset, paired with up to 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128 GB of UFS 2.2 storage. On the software side, the Redmi 17C 5G runs on HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 out of the box.
Moving on to the cameras, the Redmi 17C 5G brings a 50 MP main camera, which is part of a dual-camera setup. On the front, there is an 8 MP selfie shooter.

The phone also packs a 6,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging. Redmi 17C 5G also comes protected with an IP64 rating.
As for the rest, the phone offers a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a single bottom-firing speaker, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, a 3.5mm headphone jack, dual-SIM 5G, NFC, GPS and a USB-C 2.0 port.
