Redmi is preparing a massive launch in China on April 21, 2026. While the performance-focused Redmi K90 Max and Redmi K Pad 2 will steal the show, the brand has officially confirmed that the Redmi Buds 8 will also make their debut alongside. Additionally, some of the key Redmi Buds 8 specifications have also been confirmed, giving us a good idea of what to expect.
Redmi Buds 8 Specifications and Features
The official Redmi Weibo account posted a series of new posts revealing all the key features of the Redmi Buds 8, including ANC and battery life. The earbuds will be capable of cancelling noise up to 50dB across the 4kHz frequency band.

Redmi has also revealed that it has opted for a large 11mm dynamic driver setup, which features a 50% boost in maximum amplitude. For those unaware, this should help deliver a better bass response without compromising the mids and the highs. Additionally, users will also be able to fine-tune their sound using the equaliser in the companion app.
Sound-wise, the posters reveal that the earbuds will be Hi-Res Audio-certified and will boast LHDC-V5 support for transmitting lossless audio over Bluetooth 5.4.

As for the sound and audio from the microphones, the Buds 8 feature a triple-microphone array to filter out wind noise at up to 12 meters per second. Ergonomics-wise, the hardware retains the classic stemmed in-ear profile of the earbuds, which slot inside a pebble-shaped case that has a white LED indicator at the front.
The earbuds will be available in Black, White and Mint Green colourways. The brand also places heavy emphasis on wear comfort by stressing the weight per earbud. Each earbud weighs 5 grams, which is super-light. Despite their ergonomics, the buds feature a battery that's rated to last for 44 hours with the case combined.
The Buds 8 will sit below the Redmi Buds 8 Pro, which were unveiled alongside the Redmi Turbo 5 series launch in China. With slightly inferior specifications compared to the Pro version, it's clear that Redmi wants to position the Buds 8 in the affordable segment. We should hear more about the Buds 8 as we inch closer to its April 21, 2026, launch, so stay tuned.
