Redmi has officially launched the Redmi Turbo 5 and Turbo 5 Max in China. We already have a separate Redmi Turbo 5 Max launch copy, so this will only focus on the Turbo 5. The Redmi Turbo 5 focuses on providing high-end performance and great battery life at a competitive price point.

Redmi Turbo 5 China Specifications and Features

Starting with the display, the Redmi Turbo 5 features a 6.59-inch flat 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 2,400 nits of peak brightness. Build-wise, the phone uses a metal frame, while the back houses a 2.5D glass with rounded corners and mostly symmetrical bezels.

Coming to the performance, the Redmi Turbo 5 is the second smartphone to feature MediaTek's Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset, and the first with the "Ultra" moniker. Since it's targeted toward a gaming audience, Redmi has equipped it with an IceLoop cooling system to keep the thermals in check.

Complimenting the processor is LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage for faster data transfers. There's up to 16 GB of RAM on offer and up to 256 GB of storage. Despite the large battery, the phone remains relatively slim at just under 8 mm.

Powering the smartphone is a massive 7,560mAh battery, a significant jump from its predecessor, thanks to Silicon-Carbon batteries. It's coupled with 100W fast charging support, with Redmi claiming the phone can attain a full charge in under 45 minutes.

Optics-wise, there's a 50 MP main snapper coupled with an 8 MP ultrawide unit. The smartphone comes with HyperOS 3.0 features based on Android 16 out of the box.

Redmi Turbo 5 Price in China and Sale Date

The Redmi Turbo 5 is available in three colours – Titanium Grey, Deep Sea Blue and Starry Black. The phone will be available in two storage variants – 12 GB + 256 GB and 16 GB +256 GB. The price of the base variant starts at 1,999 Chinese Yuan (approximately Rs 26,000). First sale starts on February 3, 2026, on Xiaomi's official storefront.

The Redmi Turbo 5 may not launch globally, but the Redmi Turbo 5 Max may arrive as the Poco X8 Pro in markets like India. More details about the potential India launch date should surface as weeks pass by. Until then, stay tuned.
