Redmi has officially confirmed via a Weibo post that the Redmi K100 Pro series will launch in China on August 11, 2026, at 7:00 PM CST (or 4:30 PM IST). Alongside the launch date, the brand has revealed the K100 Pro Max's design in full and laid out how it's structuring the lineup this time around.
Redmi also gave us our first proper look at the K100 Pro Max, showing it off in a new Cabernet Red finish. This falls in line with the recent Redmi K100 Pro Max promo poster that surfaced online.
The phone features a colour-matched metal frame, an integrated rear camera island and a new floating light ring around the cameras. This light ring can sync with music playback, calls, notifications and Xiaomi's AI assistant.
If you're trying to spot said light ring in the Redmi K100 Pro Max images shared by the brand, you won't find it. This is because, just as the feature works on the Redmi Turbo 5, unless turned on, the floating light sneakily hides away in the camera lenses.

Apart from this, the brand has also confirmed that the Redmi K100 Pro Max will sport a flat 6.9-inch display with ultra-narrow bezels and a curved metal frame.
Around back, it houses a triple-camera setup that includes a periscope telephoto lens, alongside the Bose-tuned rear speaker carried over from last year's Redmi K90 Pro Max. However, nothing else is known about the smartphone's specifications for now.
Now, unlike previous K-series generations, the brand is launching the Redmi K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max first. Meanwhile, the standard K100 arrives separately at a later, unspecified date.
Xiaomi President Lu Weibing clarified that this doesn't mean the standard model has been scrapped. Instead, it will continue to focus on flagship-grade performance with a more practical, everyday-friendly experience.
Weibing also touched on why Redmi moved up this year's launch schedule, attributing it to the ongoing RAM crisis.
The Redmi K100 Pro Max is already up for pre-reservations in China through Xiaomi's official online store, ahead of its full unveiling on August 11.
Globally, the K100 Pro and Pro Max are expected to be rebranded as the Poco F9 Pro and Poco F9 Ultra, respectively, though Redmi hasn't confirmed international availability yet.
